Two great causes for a better San Marcos!
The San Marcos Double Peak Challenge is coordinated by the Friends of San Marcos Parks and Recreation, a non-profit organization that supports the San Marcos Parks & Recreation Department and its programming. The City of San Marcos is also supporting this event along with our partners at the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos. The intent of the event is to promote the city, parks, recreation programming, health and wellness as well as The Boys and Girls Club who work to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
The Friends of San Marcos Parks and Recreation enhances City parks and recreation by connecting and coordinating resources, partnerships, and expertise. An organization recognized for professionalism, The Friends of San Marcos align with City priorities, and fosters partnerships that enrich community well-being
Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The club serves over 3,000 youth each year at 13 locations throughout San Marcos, connecting children and teens with enriching programs and caring mentors whenever school is out.

The San Marcos Double Peak Challenge is a premier event for anyone who loves to run and wants to challenge theirself on our amazing course! Additionally, the festive event and post-race expo will provide ample opportunity to hang out with runners and friends, have some fun and visit our many expo booths. Sponsorship of this event provides direct exposure to a desirable demographic of active, educated people with disposable income.
